Building Maine Island Soap
My wife Tina and I are building Maine Island Soap, a Maine company with roots going back to 1984. We make handcrafted soap, candles, bath products and gifts from our shop in Ellsworth, Maine.
This is the business that gets the majority of my entrepreneurial focus today. I’m interested not only in making great products, but in the process of taking a small Maine business and building something much larger over time.

I’ve painted for years, creating dark, expressive work that explores emotion, isolation and the stranger corners of the imagination.
Painting is also an important creative outlet for me. I still create new work when inspiration and time allow, and original paintings are available through Russ Fye Art.
